It's Garbage Day.

22 degrees, white and snowplows have been busy!

The first of the School Cancellations appeared on WKTV a while ago; Hamilton Central School and Madison Central School are Closed; Brookfield delayed an hour. Click here.


"The National Weather Service has issued a lake effect snow warning for Madison County and a lake effect snow advisory for Oneida, Chenango, Otsego, Schoharie and Southern Herkimer Counties until 6PM Monday.

Steady lake effect snow continues across most of Central New York. The morning commute will be slick in many areas this morning, so give yourself plenty of extra time to get in to work or school. Additional snowfall will range from 2-4" across most areas, with 6" or more especially south and west of Utica. Dress warm again today, as temperatures remain in the 20s today.

More snow is expected tonight and tomorrow as lake effect continues. Unseasonably cold temperatures stay with us through the week."

This is a very quick pre-post: to begin with, I slept late, completely ignoring the fact that I have other things to do early today (including cancel my eye-doctor appointment so that I can wait for Suburban Propane to come and make a repair to my hot water heater! I need , too, to get busy preparing something special for a luncheon, today, and thensomething else for Village Board Meeting this evening.) When I can, I'll retrieve my camera from my car. It's got a few pictures in it from over the weekend. I'll be back, later!
