GARBAGE DAY

Re: Snowmobile Trails: "In the Southern Tier of New York State, most of the Mohawk Valley, the snowmobile trails do not open until after hunting season closes, December 21."
Weather report from the Observer-Dispatch: "Up to 8 inches of snow has fallen in parts of southern Oneida County and Madison County as of early this morning. A snow warning remains in effect until noon today, according to the National Weather Service. Only a few minor accidents were reported overnight, and National Grid's website showed no households were without power. Check back to uticaod.com this morning for any school closings or delays in opening."
Weather forecast from Channel 10, YNN: "We will get a bit of a break on Thursday with any lake effect snow showers tapering to flurries by midday and afternoon. It will be the coldest day of the season with highs only in the low 20s. Scattered snow showers will spread in later Friday with temperatures climbing back to around 30. Saturday will be fairly quiet with highs in the mid 30s. Although still early, there is the potential for a large impacting storm system to work towards us Sunday into Sunday night. Stay tuned on that one over the next few days."

This answers my question!
This answers my question!
"One snowmobile club President says riders should stay off those trails until they do open or they could be compromising future agreements." (see more on WKTV.)

Even MORE "things to do" this weekend:
there's a long list in yesterday's Mid-York Weekly!

And for the very latest in the controversy regarding actions proposed by or attributed to the WCS Board of Education, please see this week's issue of
The Waterville Times!
I'm not going to get involved or make any comments, but I applaud Ms. Louise for making apparently unlimited newspaper space available for those who want everyone to know their opinions.
