The blogger has concluded that the intensity and longevity of this storm has been caused NOT so much by continual winds passing over the open waters of the Great Lakes during freezing weather and carrying the resulting snow to Waterville as by the fact that many, MANY boys and girls from the Waterville Central School District went to bed on Tuesday night with their pajamas on either backwards or "wrong side out" in hopes that there would be a "snow day!"
Will this system of meteorological manipulation work two days in a row?
We'll see!

Uptown, early this morning.

Uptown, early this morning.

Sangerfield Township's big plow had village streets all clean.......

This clean!!
Elsewhere, local "snowmen" worked on their driveways.

His snow-shoveling already done, Stan Sambora had walked to the Post Office.

The DPW was in the Park decorating the bandstand with a Christmas Tree that had been donated to the Village by the Masons, who always hold their Christmas Tree Sale there.

Tom Morgan arranging this famous sidewalk showroom.
Out in the Countryside

The Marshall Township plow had country roads all taken care of!

A familiar view, 'specially for Gil Condon, who will probably use it for "wallpaper!"

Looking West from Gridley-Paige Road.

Drifts form on the downwind - or leeward - side of fence posts and weeds.

There was something that I didn't see, anywhere, today: snomobile tracks!
I'll look for them again, tomorrow!
